About Us

Neighbourhood Plan

image2

The Plan seeks to ensure that Freshford and Limpley Stoke remain the unique and cherished villages that they are: vibrant, sustainable and forward-looking

communities which are attractive places to live, work and visit. We wish to ensure that future generations will benefit from improved facilities whilst protecting the distinctive rural nature of the villages and their surrounding green fields and woodlands.

There are many ways that you can get involved in your local community.  If you can spare a few hours per month then why not join your local Parish Council?

Do you want to run a club in the village?  The Village Hall is always looking for people to run social events and clubs, from Arts to Sports or Coffee Mornings.

The Bradford on Avon Community Emergency Volunteers (CEVs) -supported by the Town Council and the Area Board- are organising a programme of First Aid Courses.

Instruction is from the British Red Cross and everyone gains a recognised First Aid qualification on successful completion.  It is rated extremely highly, with one previous attendee rating it ‘The Best First Aid Course I ever took!’

Topics covered will include;-

· Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

· Use of Automatic External Defibrillator (AED, -green box automatic defibrillators)

· Shock

· Seizures

· Bleeding

· Choking

· Burns

The course is limited to 15 participants and so a waiting list will operate as we plan to run a further course in the new year if we find sufficient demand.

Members and staff of the Town Council, local schools, parish councils, and members of local voluntary/sports organisations are invited to participate free of charge.

Places may also be offered to members of the public at nominal cost, though we would not plan to charge students, seniors or anyone in receipt of benefits.
