A talk by Rob Needham

Freshford Village Memorial Hall

This talk will be by Rob Needham, the local representative for the Beaver Trust.  Having been extinct for hundreds of years, beavers are now being re-introduced because of the benefits they bring for biodiversity and flood protection. As many of you will know, we now have a healthy beaver population in the Avon catchment area and some specifically in the Frome at Freshford, so do come along and learn more!

Groups, Sports & Societies

New Singing Group

A new group for the community to enjoy singing an eclectic mix of music - led by Alex Grey, a local musician and conductor.

All abilities welcome. No need to read music. Meeting fortnightly at LS village hall, Tuesdays at 7.00-8.30 pm in blocks of 6 sessions.

More Singers Wanted!

The new singing group at Limpley Stoke Village Hall attracted 18 'singers' for our taster session. Leader Alex Gray was excellent, putting us gently through our paces! We are now timetabling a series of Tuesday evening sessions going forward into the Spring and are looking for more singers, including more male or lower voices.

To book up for the spring term, please contact Alan on 07837 290426. Costs to be decided dependent on size of group - we are hoping for £30 a term (£5 for each 90 minute session) but it may be a little more.

Please do let us know if you would like to come along - we'll charge to cover the costs of Alex and the hall, but will keep costs to a minimum.
